Working towards a more equitable future in engineering by improving mentoring.
An early-career investigator and change agent in the field of engineering education.
My mission is to inspire the use of evidence-based mentorship strategies to change how educators support minoritized students in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computing (STEM+C).
Let’s change the world together.
My mentor used to say “success comes through hard work and determination.” It is my belief that this is 100% true. By investigating the existing evidence, there are strategies each of us can implement that have a proven record of success. It is our job to apply them in our context, and to determine how to fill any remaining voids. Learn more about how I am standing in the gap for students as a researcher and instructor at the University of Florida.
Share your story and change the narrative.
I use science communication as a tool to share the stories of those not traditionally represented in the STEM+C disciplines. But it is also allows us to share complex problems in a way that is accessible to all, broadening the impact of our work. You can reach far beyond your classroom, campus, or community in a meaningful way to inspire, motivate, and create a culture shift by changing the narrative.

Believe in the magic that's inside your heart
Believe all these things
Not because I told you to
But believe in yourself
If you believe in yourself
Just believe in yourself
As I believe in you!”
